WHAT IS THE MODERNIZA CHECK?
The Check modernizes is an aid for the modernization of private transport companies. It belongs to the incentive program promoted by European funds NextGenerationEU, which aims to increase the efficiency of road transport companies through digitization, renewal and introduction of new technologies in the sector.
These aid are part of Investment 4 of Component 6 of the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan – Financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU and are regulated in Royal Decree 902/2022, of October 25.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The beneficiaries of the modernize check are all those private passenger transport companies by road and private companies involved in the transport of goods by road.
The amount of aid will depend on the type of service provided by the ultimate recipient and its size (number of employees and number of vehicles).
Each recipient will be able to choose up to two modernization solutions from among those that are eligible based on their size and type of activity.
